If you have never had therapy before, it can be difficult to know what to expect. Even if you have, different practitioners take different approaches; at the end of the day, we’re all human too.
Working with me, you will find a warm and safe environment to share and explore your thoughts, feelings or beliefs. There are hundreds of approaches to therapy; from the more well known psychotherapy and CBT to the lesser known Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or Compassion Focussed Therapy.
This is why I chose an integrative approach as I believe there are merits in each of these approaches and yet what works for one individual may not work for another. And so I take from each of these approaches and work with you to explore the best fit for you.
Sessions are 50 minutes each and take place at the same time each week. For some clients, working within a limited number of sessions for a specific issue works best and so they may sign up to six sessions.
For others, they benefit from longer term therapy and extend this as required.
